I went to and graduated from Barrington College with a BA in Elementary Ed. I went to Rhode Island College and graduated with an M.Ed. in Special Education. I taught Sp.Ed. for 35 years. I am married to my college sweetheart for 45 years. We have lived in PA for 40 years where we raised our 3 children. My wife and I are very involved in our church and happy with the life the Lord has blessed is with.
I am very happy with the life my Lord has blessed me with. I have a wonderful wife, 3 great kids and the added blessing of 4 wonderful grand children. I had a good career and I now am enjoying a blessed retirement.
I am really looking forward to this reunion.

Boston College BSN 1966 then Mass General Hospital Respiratory Intensive Care Unit for a year before becoming a Vista Volunteer in rural Florida. Collaborated while there with some folks working for FL Migrant Ministry who inspired me to move to the promised land to attend UC Berkeley School of Public Health. After earning MPH in health education, taught nursing in San Francisco, married a law student who entered USCG after graduating. I eventually followed him around the country. First stop Long Beach, CA where I worked at UCLA Harbor Medical Center as nurse epidemiologist then executive assistant to nurse administrator. On to Kodiak, AK where I served as health director for the Kodiak Area Native Association, the nonprofit entity established as part of the Native Claims Settlement Act. My son was born there, first baby of 1976 in Alaska. the last frontier.
Back "outside" to Washington state (Anyone want to buy a house in Poulsbo, WA on 1 1/4 acres?) where I kept my mind from turning into jello by earning MPA and MBA degrees from Seattle City University. Next stop on my husband's career brought us to Washington, DC where he was assigned to Dept of Justice. Exciting area and some wonderful experiences there. Moving slightly south to Virginia Beach, where the military influence keeps the area more cosmopolitan, thankfully, and helped me start back in the workforce in hospital administration, with a short interlude as a medical practice administrator. My husband died shortly after retiring from Coast Guard and I found Virginia Beach a pleasant, safe place to continue raising our son. After retiring from healthcare administration, I spent my last eight years in the workforce in public health in Virginia Beach, without on call, long commutes or long workdays other than self-imposed. Nice ease into retirement on Cape Cod with my new husband, who spent his whole life until marriage in Wilmington, DE.
My 93 year old mom still lives in Weymouth so I am able to spend lots of time with her now that I live close enough "after 42 years away", as she reminds me!
Volunteering has always been part of my life and I continue by volunteering with the NEAq, MA Audubon's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, US Humane Society's Cape Wildlife Center and as member, Yarmouth Board of Health.
Living life fully and having raised a healthy, happy son who is a good person and a contributing member of society.
Looking forward to seeing and chatting with some school friends as old as I am! |

I am proud of many things - family, career and lifestyle 0 and I feel that I have been immensely fortunate.
I am looking forward to meeting again our classmates from WHS 1962. It will be fun and interesting to reflect on the years we had together at WHS and especially to share some of our life experiences over the fifty years since then. I wonder if we will recognize each other! |

After filling in the basic info above, the answers are mostly obvious. I was lucky to be able to be a stay-at-home Mom for ten years in the middle of my total of twenty years working at the National Security Agency as an analyst and technical writer. Colby and I bought a small split-level house in Columbia, Maryland - and built a major addition later. We an dour kids grew up with everyone who moved to our brand new neighborhood in 1971 and later had local newspaper coverage for our 25th annual street parade and cook-out to celebrate the Fourth of July. In 1998 we designed and built a house in Harpswell, Maine, just after our son Andrew graduated from Williams and just after our daughter Kristin was married at Middlebury College (which they attended). Over the years, I've written dozens of "limerick-style" verses for retirements and birthdays, so I wrote one for the class of '62:
Here's a toast to our class - SIXTY-TWO,
To the teachers and classmates we knew.
We left good friends behind,
but our memories bind.
It's amazing how fifty years flew!!
I'm looking forward to seeing old friends.
I'm proud of meeting the challenge of seeing a whole new world thru the eyes of our three grand-children. I'm proud of my cooking achievement in developing a recipe for tuna noodle casserole (involving a white sauce with 5 sticks of butter and 6 quarts of milk) which will feed 100 people at the local soup kitchen where I've volunteered for the past 13 years. And I'm proud that I've had the time to help my 94 year old mother stay in our house on Mt. Vernon East for 27 years after my Dad died - and help her move two years ago to Allerton House Assisted Living which is on the site of Central Junior High.
